Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan a.k.a. Arkay is what you would call a house music obsessive. Since the first time he heard the alien sounds of A Guy Called Gerald's seminal classic - Voodoo Ray being played by his neighbour one sunny summer's evening, he was hooked on house music's hypnotic sound.

Fast forward a few (ahem) years and having spent most of his hard earned money on building up a decent record collection instead of wasting it on food, shelter and other pointless trivialities, Rashid decided that it was about time to start sharing the amazing music that he had been hoarding all these years with you the lucky, lucky people.

To do this he got together with a couple of mates and put on the legendary but now sadly defunct night Casamusica. Through doing this he was able to travel the country and meet many amazing people who he now considers very good friends. He also met some chancers called Eddie, Lee, Dan, Pooley and Josh, who also happened to be bang into proper house music.

After a few years of constantly talking about putting on a night but never getting round to it, the 6 amigos finally got their arses into gear and Content was born. Rashid was chosen as one of the residents because we couldn’t find anyone else.

Even I could of clattered a few tracks under the guise of a dj mix and written a few words in that space of time.

Oh-oh dedication, as Roy Castle famously sang on countless Record Breakers shows (before performing in smokey clubs finished him off), is what you need.

See you down the front or more likely at the bar unless I manage to get stuck into some madman.
