Lee Daley is one half of deep house production outfit, FraidSo.

Lee is currently carving himself a name within in the industry. However, it all started early for Lee when at the age of 14 he became resident dj at one of Manchester’s famous roller discos.

Spinning house music from the moment he hit his teens, this early foray into the world of dj’ing and performing motivated Lee to throw everything into his passion.

Lee’s sets are deeply rooted in house, with his early influences of disco very apparent in the sound he champions.

He is also a very eclectic individual, his music collection spans several genres and as many decades. This comes in very useful for his many “downtempo” and “anything goes” sets at various Manchester establishments.

After spending his formative years digging the crates in some of Manchester’s famous record shops, Lee decided that just playing the music he loved wasn’t enough and chose to embark on an electronic music production course at Manchester Midi School.

Whilst learning the art of music production, he became the deep house resident at infamous Manchester based night, Afterhours. Afterhours had much success over its 4 year life span, showcasing many national and international dj’s and orchestrating parties in venues such as Paradise Factory, Elemental and Presha. It was finally closed down due to the council imposing late-licensing laws.

It was at Afterhours where Lee met fellow DJ, Dan McGlynn. Lee and Dan shared a mutual passion for music production so it wasn’t long before they took their first steps into the studio together, as FraidSo.

FraidSo have several releases under their belt so far, on labels such as;

Phil Weeks’ Robsoul Recordings, Greenhouse records, Tastie Music, Pete Dafeet’s Lost My Dog imprint to name a few

They have been remixed by popular Chicago producer and house music aficianado Miles Maeda.

FraidSo records remain firm favourites with many dj’s worldwide, add to that an ever growing stock of production work in the pipeline and the future looks bright.

Lee has also been experimenting with his own individual sound, crafting a handful of tracks currently being mastered so expect to hear his material in the near future.

As a dj/production team, and as individuals, FraidSo have toured all over UK/Europe and Asia. Some of the countries they have dj’d in include;

Belgium, Norway, Thailand, Holland, Dubai, London, Liverpool, Nottingham and Glasgow.
